1. How do I install the plug-in to view your stream feeds?

The first time you try and view a video stream, you will get the following alert:

Axis Plug-In Confirmation Screen

By clicking "Yes", you will install an Active X Control signed by Axis Communications.

This is a small program that enables you to receive the video
stream in your browser in an efficient way.

Strict security policies in Internet Explorer may prevent the installation. Ask your Network administrator for assistance in case you are prevented from installing the Active-X component.

2. Do I need administrative access to install this plug-in?

Please note that in order to view the streaming video feeds, you will need administrative rights on your computer to install the Active X component.

Ask your Network administrator for assistance in case you are prevented from installing the Active-X component.

3. Do you record any video feeds?

We DO NOT record video feeds or save snapshot images from any of our cameras.

We provide these traffic cameras for informational purposes relating to the current flow of traffic on Long Island roadways.

4. How often are the snapshot feeds refreshed?

Video snapshots are refreshed every 30 seconds.

5. The snapshot picture for a feed is old. Why isn't it refreshing?

There may be two reasons for this.

The first reason is that your browser cache needs to be cleared.

The second reason may be a problem on the video server side. If this is the case, please contact us. We will work to recitify the problem as soon as possible.
